Kat practices Domination as a lifestyle, but to do it effectively, she needs to know the psychology of her subject(s) in order to develop a proper training plan, else she's liable to use the carrot/stick at the wrong time or wrong severity. Whether we humans like it or not, our background dictates much about our personality and character, either in agreement or rejection of our original values, so naturally she checks MC's upbringing, and finds a hostile and protective response from her subject regarding his mother. Here she kills two birds by 1) gaining valuable background information, 2) discovering a soft spot or "pressure point" in the MC. Another critical part of her discovery/training regimen is to isolate the border between a subject's compliance and resistance, thus she has to deftly press on the subject's limits just until she finds the point where they finally snap back. Her goading of Rose to the point that Rose slaps her is a perfect example. For MC, she discovered the pressure point in the limo, and then pressed his limit before the studio shoot. I suspect she's satisfied, at least regarding MC's position on Victoria, so she won't press the issue again, unless it's related to his sadistic limit (like the conversation following Week 2's Exhibition).

I can highly second that recommendation. The Last Sovereign has been an incredible ride so far.
If you read the dialogues of the last two updates, you will find out that what you have written is exactly the opposite of how the developer have conceived MC's mom.
You don't get to be in her position by being an idiot. She knows manipulation VERY well.
Try to read the red part again slowly.

I'm not saying: "you can't imagine it". The Authors chose to not imagine it. And the reason is: because they imagined a story - their story - where it does not make sense.
As Idontplay told, you have 2 morning dialogues where Vic talks about herself in the last 2 updates that explain the reason why it does not make sense:
- the first one is on 14th june - during the morning breakfast with Vic and it only happens if you chose to crash at her place instead of porking Mina/invite Veronica/talking to Kathleen;
- the second one is on 16th june - the morning conversation between Ian and Vic, then Edwin and Ian and Vic.

If you talk about another game, that scenario is possible, but in this game, with this story and these dialogue, it would be against the entire previous storytelling.

I don't think he's saying mom was just a slut who liked fucking on film, I think the idea is the MC would be gaslit into thinking that. I could see that fitting in just fine with the story, but if the dev said never gonna happen then oh well.

That's the thing mc tells us the reason his mom did porn. If Kat tried to badmouth his mom he'd already know that she's just trying to manipulate him because they both know that's his trigger point. He explicitly said not to involve her in her games.
I really don't think she'd try anything overt with his mom anyways especially since Chuck said not to fuck with family and the only reason the Mina manipulation was allowed was because her dad wanted her to join the business anyway.
That is a possible scenario: Kat has already stated she wants use Edwin to manipulate Hana and turn her into a carnation. The questions are:
- will Edwin play Kat's game or will he play is own game?
- is this the plan of TD or is he secretely planning to crush Kat's ambitions?

Yeah, I share your opinion, given that Kat for example has already been asked to do things during the show with Veronica, and sometimes presents the show with little clothing, I hope that it will be the same thing with Hana. I wouldn't want her to just stay near the stage watching what's happening every time. I don't think she's shy, after all she's already played drums topless in public.

Word on the street is that there's a new Dev Diary out this week and it somehow leaked to F95. I can neither confirm nor deny this rumor, but I do happen to have some updated numbers for my spreadsheets, so we might as well run through them, right? Anyway, new numbers. As you are no doubt hearing here first, TD and GIL completed 206 statics, 13 animations and 5362 words in the 21 days between the latest dev diaries. That's an average of about 69 statics, 4.3 animations and 1790 words per week, give or take a significant figure. That brings the overall average to ~97 statics, 2.7 animations and 2270 words per week since work on Chapter 4 Update 4 began. Here are the charts for Week 22:
As TD would no doubt have noted if we had somehow seen his diary, this is going to be quite a large update. It's also, as of yesterday, had the longest development time so far. The two are obviously linked, though looking at the charts it doesn't seem like volume of art alone is driving the timeline. (It would be interesting to see how the word count for this update compares with the larger updates before TD started reporting that metric, but my guess is it would be a similar ratio to the art numbers.) It could be that the devs have had less time overall to work on the game (holidays can certainly have that effect), but from what TD has said I suspect it has more to do with the update having a lot of moving parts.You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Between Felicia's date apparently having multiple ways to approach it and the rising tension at the Club, it makes sense this update would need a lot of planning. The proof will ultimately be in the pudding, of course, but our devs have consistently put out a top notch product, so I'm not concerned by the wait. If they think it's worth this level of detail, they're almost certainly right. What matters is that I'm still looking forward to the release, and would be even if TD hadn't recommended we do so. (Or so I heard.) There's a lot to look forward to.
It's just a shame they couldn't figure out a way to give us a little Veronica time in the bargain, but such is life. We all have to make sacrifices sometimes.
