OR, hear me out... we dig up some dirt on them and blackmail them to keep making PC, sequels, and spinoffs forever.As far as I know, the plan is to complete the next two weeks of the summer exhibition and include several epilogues thereafter. I would love for PC to continue beyond that point as well, but all stories must come to an end eventually. Don't worry too much about it. We still have an enormous amount of content ahead of us, and I'm sure that TD and Gil will do a hell of a job with what remains.

I would say they both made their own form of attachment to Edwin. I think Chuck sees a young version of himself on Edwin and Kathleen sees someone with the same sadistic tendecies as herself.
In the end the result is more or less the same, they see in Edwin someone they can mold on their image.

If you enjoy the wholesome parts I think the game will get more enjoyable for you. Lots of vanilla stuff with Hannah and Mina, and also more bonding with the carnations.
