Yo quick question am i actually blind or where the hell is the black market merchant? I finish talking and get to the diary to show the location, but been looking around the Merchant Street looking for the alley, and haven't found him yet.
Never mind i found the fucker, how did not notice bruh, it was in the top right corner all along.
I changed my locale after i unpacked the file, rpgmaker does not like that, you'll have to re-unpack. It solved the issue for me.
you're at a point in the story where you don't have the right to go there, progress up in the story, you'll be able to access the shrine.
Those of you who cant find the merchant early on and have read previous comments and still cant find him, make sure you accept the mission from his wife (daytime) then talk to everyone in merchant district (at night) asking about the black merchant. Eventually an opening at the top will show (Harbour Entrance). Keep hitting Z key around bottom right once you go through it.

Dont know about branch walkthroughs, but can say after re-reading the food explanation it doesn't impact story on what you choose.
Im stuck on where to find the merchant in the slums, I've talked to everyone, and theres no dialogue of progressing on the quest, any help here?
I freaking hate it when certain games give a generic directions.

Played the game without lewdness (as much as I could avoid... Besides walking around naked and erloading whenever a random NPC gropes MC's breasts).
I'm in the endgame (I think), and missed the 2nd magic book.
I have 3 total lewdness (only breast cutscenes), and 2 curses (Binding and Dragon's Mark).
When I go take the 2nd book from Cabra (or whatever his name), I automatically get the gangbang scene.
Any way to get the 2nd book while avoiding the hypnosys?
I got the gown and bunny suit already, as I did Walter Sword, Dragon Sword (Magic Flame Sword), Great Wolf Charm, Dragon's Tear, Hermit's Ring, 3rd Magic Book (just so you guys know where my progress lies).
I did that and most of the time it worked for me to go through with the game (even getting hints on how to avoid some H-Scenes, if you want to).

Try talking to everyone on that town, both at day and evening.

It usualy is enough to talk to merchants in main street, the one at far right should say the pepper merchant is in casino, the big building just on top of main street. No need to go to the slum for this quest.
For some reason i couldn't go futher in the story when going north city right first after the introduction, when the merchant ask me to go in the slums. I tried to speak to every npc in the city didn't find a solution. Had to start a new game and go south first.
Are you sure he said that?
He only mentioned the merchant in the slums & thats the end of the dialogue.
As sopoty says, it could be because you get there first, I have always gone to the south first, so it is probably the reason why you get in a soft lock.
That area is for a side quest, to access it you must purchase the old sword from the Travelling Merchant in the Northern Prison for 500G, and then talk to the guy by the dragon skeleton in the slums. You might not be able to access it until you progress the main storyline if this is the first time you are in that town.
I believe you need to click on the book in the slums and then this triggers meeting Cabra and progresses the story. If you have "Display Guide" turned off in the settings it's easy to miss because there's no indication that it's anything important. Here's the location.
Edit: I went back and checked an old save right before this part...even with "Display Guide" turned off in the settings there should still be a text label by the book indicating it's importance. If you don't have this label maybe check that you installed the patch correctly, I remember playing an old scuffed version that didn't have the text right after the game came out.

Suspicious perfume+bath+masturbation, both can be accessed at night. You will also be able to "play" with prison guard north of starting city right after completion of pepper merchant quest.
