Anyone else has been facing this issue? My graphics card should be able to process the game just fine at ultra graphics, But I am seeing a HOLLOWMAN MOVIE over here....!!!!

Graphics driver is also updated to the latest version... But no matter what I try the character is entirely see through...

PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

First time playing the game and i like it, i downloaded V0.8.5.3.1 hotfix and after reading some last pages on this thread, the fisher man quests worked fine and no hollow face issues (just sometimes a random piece of skin disappears) but the first werewolf i summoned definitely attacked me both with baby and seed methods.

find a link for 8.5.2 and play that. There's still issues with that version, but it's far more stable and I was able to complete all the quests and do everything. (drake animations are broken though which is sad, but half the animations in 8.5.3 are broken in one way or another anyways)

Anyone else running into issues with constructed items disappearing when loading a save?
Running version 8.5.3 Hotfix. I setup a starter camp about 45m from fisherman shack (preservation chest, chest, fire, cauldron, workbench, and Furnace. (all on the ground). Saved and Loaded no problem.
Built a castle 3x3 tiles and two tiles high. Built a chest on top of a preservation chest. Saved while in castle. closed game. Started game later that day and loaded my last save. Was able to watch the chest tip off of the preservation chest and fall down through the wall, floor, and ground into oblivion. Also noticed that some of my castle construction was missing.
Loaded a previous save before building base.
Build new base using wood components 3 x 4 tiles two story, Fenced workshop outside on castle floor tiles.
Earlier today, I did an exit save with PC inside house and when I reloaded the save nearly a third of my constructed base was missing. I did hear a "clunk" like when you delete a constructed item.
Started saving with character 50 to 100 m away from base.
Just started game again to rebuild missing base parts by loading most recent file. Now a preservation chest that was on top of the castle floor tiles in the outdoor workshop area is missing (the one containing all by collected building material and ores.) This chest was there when I saved.

Vanishing building components seems to be repeatable.
I built a 1x1 hut from wood in the forest West of the ruined village and fishing hut.
I farmed materials from this location for three in game days and saving without issue.
Once I exited the game and upon loading my last save, everything that was not touching the ground vanished.
I would estimate the MC is about 1-1/2 tiles from the structure.
The chest contents appear unchanged from what I can estimate.
The hut walls and roof are gone.



Upon fast travel return to the starting base that I repaired before exiting, I found that several building tiles and one of my storage chests on the second floor that contained items has also vanished.
I will be building anything of value on the ground for now.

The buildings in this game have been plagued with bugs for quite a few updates. Once in a while, everything is fine and you can build things to your heart's content, but 'something' will change and the buildings will lose their mind again.

For me, it got to the point that I don't even bother with constructing buildings any more, I just set up a camp along the beach and call it a day.
On the plus side I do have beach front property.

Been playing for a few days now several different playthroughs learning what's what. What quest work and do not, must say its been a heck of a time loved every minuet of it. To put the icing on the cake I just got the dragon. I will say the dragon quest does not work with the nightmare mobs in the cave, outside of the cave it worked ok. One hell of a trip up the mountain to get to the dragon though. Photo attached. View attachment 3354703

Can't wait for more from this game will be buying it as soon as it is released. Now I have loads more to work out like breading/milking stations. How to get slaves out of dungeons with out my character being reset to level 1 and loosing everything. Also trying to work out how to get the next level weapons after the black steel ones. i.e. the royal sword and punisher. also the sex staff. So much more to still do and find out about.

1st quest fisherman gets stuck making bread.
the 2nd quest for the Mage in the tower "fuck 5 werewolves not working.
Quest for the mayor of the town I got stuck after 2 boar beasts.

So I just noticed that I have the "Punisher" in my inventory. As near as I can tell it was a quest reward from Isabell for the 5 werewolf seed samples.
After the first quest from Isabell, get impregnated by a werebeast, (You must give birth in the tower!) you get the reward of the "Guiding Light" earrings.
Ask Isabell if she needs any help. She asked for werewolf seed samples (5). I have several seed samples in storage. You must fashion empty bottles from glass at the workbench. Glass is made by cooking sand in the furnace. With empty bottles in your inventory, when you have sex you obtain at least one sample, or perhaps on sample per session. Edit: ( You can obtain samples when defeating them also as long as you have empty bottles for collection. )
Anyway, since I had a dozen samples of werewolf semen (yup, busy girl trying to get impregnated with a 10% chance in the settings) all I did was travel back to my stash, grab 5 bottles and travel back to the tower.
The quest had a descriptive dialog about her 'collecting' the samples from within the MC
Ask her again if she needs help and she sent me out to find 3 drakes. (as far as I've gotten so far)
I check my inventory about 30 minutes later and I still have the werewolf seed samples, but I also have the "Punisher" as well.

Running 0.8.5.3 hotfix On Ubuntu Linux 22.04 through Steam Proton 8.0 via proton-call

Damn this game needs optimization.
I play at 45-50 fps on high settings, enabling upscalings and frame generations dont work for me

If you are talking about climbing ladders, there is no mechanic in the game for that yet. Any ladders you see are just for show.
If you are talking about stairs and stair cases, you should be able to just walk up the stairs. There are probably old ruined buildings that have 'stairs' but they are not always accessible, meaning that some stair cases you see are just for show.

Are you running on the newest hotfix version (v0.8.5.3.1 Hotfix)? If you are not, download the latest version, that problem was fixed in the Hotfix. There are other bugs still in the game after that, but the issues with minions/servants and the fisherman quests were resolved.

If you are running on the newest hotfix version, delete the wickedisland folder in your appdata\local folder. Pretty much any time the game is updated, it changes parts of the code and old saves and old settings files are broken.

I tried again with the latest version, and indeed fisherman is fixed.

Summons still attack me though. So again, as that seems to be a big part of the game, the game does not appear to be playable.

Made myself a neat little castle with a tower, killed some things, made some food, rinse and repeat. As there aren't any goals given or hinted at beyond just porn, there's just nothing to do but go out and wait to get brought to 0 hp by monsters then hope that the position they're using isn't putting you in the ground and/or isn't poorly lit to the point where you can't see anything

Edit: Also in the newest version the monsters keep turning around after initiating sex scenes, causing the npc to fuck air and the scene in its entirety look more ridiculous than erotic
