Going to leave this here for anyone having trouble with this game. Combat is super grindy and unavoidable as you can't see enemies. I recommend uploading your save file to rpgeditor and upping all the stats to something like 1000000 which basically means you can win any fight you get into. Make sure you buy Round Fire to get through fights with multiple enemies quickly. You can flee fights to get through quicker although you need to complete some fights in order to progress through the story. Fleeing fights doesn't impact anything. Once you complete the main quest, you need to go to the adventurer's guild which is in the tavern (bottom left of the screen from your house) and accept quests there to finish the full game.
