It's a pack with base assets for RPGMaker Vx Ace games (the engine I used to make HC1). Sometimes, it's needed to run Vx Ace games. More is written in the link I posted.

So gonna echo a lot of others, years after the fact. Having just finally come across this and played through, it was definitely an incredibly strong NTR experience. I don't really expect to spark discussion / be sharing feedback so at this point, but still going to share a lot of thoughts, to get them down and out of my head more than anything.

One of the biggest appeals of NTR arcs to me is the sense of encroaching inevitability they have in the build-up, being able to see as the viewer that there's no way out. I think that's why the 'NTR logic' that tends to crop up at least a little bit can be so grating; if it seems like things only move forward because of contrivance, or people being complete idiots, or otherwise acting out of character, it undermines the sense that there was no escape.

That said, I think this game did *really* strongly at avoiding those pitfalls, if not entirely. The rest of this will be (a whole lot of) more specific thoughts on each of the four 'heroines', including where things are stand-out examples of working, as well as where they fall a bit more flat. (I'll note that the one ending I haven't actually played through is the NTR end, though I doubt there'd be anything in that that would suddenly overturn my thoughts from the rest of the game).

On the extremely off-chance that the dev sees this (and even more off-chance that they actually bother to read the short-novel series I ended up writing above), I'll end this on the note of reiterating that I had an absolute blast with this game, and that even with the points I critiqued, I found it to be easily one of the strongest and most internally-consistent examples of NTR writing I've come across. I'm going to be taking a short break, but afterwards I'm very much looking forward to moving on to Chapter 2, all the more so knowing that Chapter 1 was their first experience creating a game like this, so they'll have the opportunity to have built on that foundation for an even stronger showing in the second.

It's more likely than you think, the OP is the Dev.

Welcome to the forum, and to the world of N_taii. You make a lot of great points, but I just want to say that Chapter 2 and 3 are even better in most ways. So I hope you enjoy them as much as you did Ch1.

Thanks for the welcome! Actually been lurking here for quite a long time (and frankly probably still mostly will), but appreciated regardless.

I've been playing through 2 and been having a blast so far, just posted some initial thoughts in that thread. They're critiquing, which I hope doesn't come across as me being too negative; I think I just find those to be the things that are more interesting to discuss, especially if others have different views.

I'm trying to get into this game, but find it frustrating to find NPCs. There's so many rooms each one could be in. Is there an easy way to find NPCs that have new interactions, or do I just need to use deduction and educated guesses and waste a lot of time checking in on every NPC's likely location?

You could use the Walkthrough guide. else, I think the fairy in the room tells you where someone is and or what to do. Or I think it's the fairy in the forest right to your room

Piggybacking off of Jess' response (and take with a grain of salt, been a little since I played), I want to say that it's the fairy / sign in your room that will just generally tell you where people are, whereas the fairy in the forest to the right will give you a hint about what you need to do to actually advance the plot. So if you want to make sure to do everything, you'd want to look at both, and then intentionally avoid doing whatever the forest fairy said until you'd exhausted all conversations.

Since you mention trying to get into the game, I will give fair warning that your complaint is something somewhat inherently common to the sub-genre (free-roam NTR games) as a whole. The uncertainty is meant to be part of the appeal, after all: where is this character, are they safe, or are they somewhere being seduced / further corrupted? Stumbling across them unexpectedly after having those thoughts in your head can be a rush. Of course, that needs to be balanced against it not just turning into a boring chore to find them every time things change. That's personal opinion on how well any game manages that, but hopefully it's helpful to understand some of the intent of why it's designed like that in the first place!

I've played multiple free-roam NTR games before. I was just finding that this game in particular is vague on telegraphing where an NPC would be at a given time. Especially since it's a mansion where every character has multiple rooms they would likely be in. For example, if I was just trying to guess where the mistress of the house may be, it's not easy because she has a lab, a personal room, and an office. I checked all those places and turns out she was in the dining hall on the opposite side of the house.

However, now that I know about the fairies thanks to your response and the response from Jess, I imagine this frustration will be a lot easier to avoid for me in the future. It's especially useful to know what advances the plot and what doesn't, I've been trying not to miss things, and it will also be useful to remind myself what I was supposed to do between sessions.
