We need more games like this.
Yes, this game is still in it's early stages and development seems to go forward in a very slow pace - which is to me explained by a small team and measured by the sheer effort in putting a well running UE4/5 game to testing stage is quite a challange, I respect that.
This game has earned it's 5 stars primarely because, it is a computer game by modern standards. It has modern gameplay aspects, it has state of the art graphics and physics and it is setup in a - yet to come, but it's on the timeline - open world.
The introduction to a world in the style of Alan Wake, experienced by an initially sexually inexperienced girl who later becomes somewhat depraved (there are already plenty of games of this type), the extremely well-designed graphics, a pleasant game interface, well-balanced sound effects and a storyline that has clearly learned from TLoU make this game a wonderful experience that is unfortunately still too short.
This board is ridden with VN type renpy games, with 20+ year old game mechanics, terrible, terrible graphics - some of which try to fix that with good art - but it is really only just a handful that stand out, beyond the flipbook type click-through game with comic graphics and walls of text.
THIS is a game. It's fun to play, it has tons of potential, and yes, those two points alone require good, long-term funding. Because you have to put effort into making it - and not just a slideshow.
