Well, the first is just a juncture to another scene but it doesn't change much in the story, if I remember right.
The second one...it doesn't really change much in terms of scenes, just some lines as far as I know. Also I can't bring myself to exploit Rosa.
Apparently not plenty enough time for the cave man.
Also, just to be sure, you can move on to more than 10 pages of saves.

Sounds like a case of desensitization right there. I too winced way less on my 3th playthrough compared to my 1st, especially during fucked up scenes like what happens in the club or to the carnation (or the prostitutes) sometimes. One of the reason that made this game so fascinating to me.
